REPORTED PROBLEM:
Users who run IBM Verse in a managed environment using MaaS360
or MobileIron may return to the app to find themselves back at
the account configuration screen. When this happens, their
account and server settings are provided, but the app
reconfigures the account and syncs anew with the server.
LOCAL WORKAROUND:
Administrators who set up account configuration parameters in
MaaS360 or MobileIron should make sure to use the fully
qualified URL for their Traveler server until a fix is provided.
For example, use
com.ibm.mobile.mail.serverURL=https://traveler.test.com/traveler
rather than
com.ibm.mobile.mail.serverURL=traveler.test.com or
com.ibm.mobile.mail.serverURL=https://traveler.test.com. IBM
Verse automatically adds "/traveler" and the URL scheme when the
account is configured, so if the preconfigured parameters do not
match exactly, account reconfiguration may occur.
RESOLUTION:
next release of Verse Client for iOS --- updated the logic when comparing the existing account versus the
MaaS360 or MobileIron config settings to be more tolerant of
trivial differences in the server URL.
